About the Bicycle Film Festival

Brendt Barbur founded the Bicycle Film Festival in New York City in 2001, after he was hit by a bus while riding. His answer was to celebrate the bicycle through film, art and music.

Since then BFF has reached more than one million people in over 100 cities, including Paris, Tokyo, Mexico City, Cape Town and Istanbul. It has screened at venues like the Sydney Opera House and London’s Barbican. The 26th festival opened in New York this September with more than 45 films from around the world.
